Temple
Sinai Duplicate Bridge Club
Temple Sinai is home to one of the largest, busiest and friendliest Duplicate
Bridge Clubs in the area. Our Directors, Roberta Birdt and Vince Falletta,
run duplicate games every day except Shabbat and Jewish holidays,
and offer regular classes at the beginner and intermediate levels, and
occasional seminars on advanced topics.
All Temple Sinai Duplicate Games are ACBL-sanctioned,
Open, Stratified Pairs, and non-smoking. The second Sunday of each
month is a Swiss Team game. On Monday and Friday, when there are enough
tables, we run a "Fast Game" section (27 boards in the same time as the other
sections play 24; please do NOT ask to play in this section if you are a
beginner, are new to duplicate, or like to take lots of time to think about your
play).

Game times: Monday-Thursday at
12:30 PM, Friday at 12:15 PM, and Sunday at 1 PM. Your daytime entry fee of $9 includes a great light lunch, so
come early! On Sunday, the Big Brunch starts at noon, game at 1 PM.

Shabbat Dinners
 |
At Temple Sinai we
truly enjoy getting together for Shabbat Dinners preceding our Friday
night services. There are usually at least two Shabbat Dinners during
the year. Themes for these dinners range from an informal Blue Jeans Barbecue to a traditional served meal where we honor and gently roast
a deserving member.
These dinners are
well-attended by all factions of our congregation. Non-members are
also encouraged to come, as we feel they can truly get an
understanding of The Magic of Temple Sinai by sitting down to a
Shabbat meal with us.
|
Often Shabbat
Dinners are scheduled for the same night as our monthly
intergenerational service, which features our religious school
children and their families.
Dinners can be
attended by advance reservation only. Flyers for upcoming dinners are
available in the Information Center in our our lobby, in the Tablet
(our monthly newsletter), on this website, or by calling the Temple
office at 561-276-6161. Please come join us.

Cantor's Concert
Each year on a Sunday afternoon,
our Cantor puts on a "Cantor's Concert" in
Finkelstein Hall at Temple Sinai. All proceeds benefit the Temple.
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear our beloved, multi-talented singer perform
in the venue of popular music, jazz, rock, Yiddish music, classical or opera.
It's a fabulously fun afternoon for all of us!
This year's concert was Sunday,
Feb 14, 2010 “High Tea”.
Hope to see you there next year!
